Presenters Information

Oral Presentations:

Time: Oral presentations will be 12 minutes long with 3 minutes for questions. Mātauranga-Māori themed sessions will be allocated 20 minutes, inclusive of question time. Session chairs will be keeping strictly to time and scheduled order.

In Person Presentation Upload: Presentations must be loaded into the room you are presenting in on the day or your presentation. Please ensure your presentation has been loaded onto the desktop no later than 10min prior to the start of your oral presentation session. Individual laptops will not be permitted unless required for crucial to your presentation and arranged prior to the workshop. Please be aware that “Notes” view is not available and we recommend that you print your notes in advance.

Virtual Presentation Pre-Recording: Presenting authors who are unable to attend the workshop in person due to travel restrictions should must identify with organisers they will present virtually. Virtual presenters must provide a pre-recorded oral presentation and will receive guidelines for live Q&A access.

Presentation Format: Presentations should be in a standard presentation format and compatible with Windows operating system. Web-based Prezi presentations are not recommended. Ideal screen aspect ration is 16:10.

AV: Each room will be equipped with standard presentation equipment – microphone, computer (Windows based), projector, speakers. Wireless internet is available but it is not recommended for streaming videos. If you will be showing video during your talk, it is recommended to download and embed the video in your presentation or open the video in a website browser on our lectern computer as a backup.

Recording: Oral presentations will be recorded during the workshop and provided for on-demand viewing post conference.

Publishing of Papers:
It is the authors responsibility to ensure that all data and images referenced or reproduced in their paper has all necessary rights and approvals authorised by any and all relevant bodies. The submitting author gives permission for their paper to be published in the proceedings. Copyright remains the property of the authors of each paper.

Poster Presentations:

Time: All poster presentations will be held during a lunch break. Posters must also be provided to organisers in pdf version in advance for inclusion on the conference virtual platform.

In Person Presentation Format: Presenters are to stand next to their poster during the break and discuss their research with other interested attendees as required.

In Person Poster Format:   Posters should be printed by presenters in one of the following sizes:
– A1 size landscape orientation (594mm wide x 841mm tall)
– A1 size portrait orientation (841mm wide x 594mm tall)
– A0 sized in ONLY portrait orientation (841m wide x 1189mm tall). *Recommended*

A0 posters in landscape orientation will NOT fit on the poster boards.

NZGW will supply appropriate adhesive for posters printed on paper or light cardboard.

Virtual Poster Format:
Poster authors must also provide a pdf version of their poster for inclusion on the virtual platform.
